Trivia

The Then, The Now, The To Be was meant to release directly after this minisode on the following Saturday. But then, schedules fluctuated and it was pushed back to March 2nd.

Continuity

There are several references in the TARDIS to adventures that the Doctor would later have as the Sixteenth Doctor, which lines up with various reference he himself makes in the minisode. These include a unit jeep and a block of zeiton, referencing Scheme of the Zeons; a Weeping Angel on the TARDIS Archives screen, referencing Feast of the Angels; a Sontaran helmet (specifically belonging to Shuon given the slight damage on one eye), referencing Operation: Sontar; and finally a specific lack of the Vespa that was last seen in this interior, which is called out by the Doctor, referencing its brief background appearance in The Vampire. The Doctor makes it very clear that he knows about Tranquility F-1-2-Z as he mentions it by name, which is backed up by two subtle background appearances in The Fearmongerer.

The Doctor lands on an exact copy of the destroyed Gallifrey seen at the end of The Fearmongerer, including the large chunks of remains of Tranquility F-1-2-Z and the titular creature itself, which the Doctor calls out and describes it as "not much trouble now".

Pravin mentions liking "the one with the giant robot". (TV: Robot)

The Doctor jokes about calling the survivors "Fred". (TV: The Ribos Operation)

Uvil refers to the Doctor as "Theta Sigma". (TV: The Armageddon Factor)

The Doctor mentions seeing Gallifrey "thriving at the very edge of Time itself". (TV: Hell Bent)
